RICS Survey Overview.
The RICS Residential Market Survey for September 2015 (published 8th October 2015) says that “Agreed sales rise at the fastest rate since May 2014”, while “New buyer enquiries improved for a sixth successive monthâ€.
Once again, East Anglia saw the largest price increases over the month, whilst the North saw the smallest.
The North had the highest level of newly agreed sales, whereas East Midlands saw the lowest.
The West Midlands also had the highest positive levels of enquiries in the month whereas the East Midlands and Yorkshire & Humberside saw the only negative levels.
The highest level of new vendor instructions was in the North whereas the lowest was again in the North West.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) House Price Index (HPI), previously published by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), is a monthly release that publishes figures for mix-adjusted average house prices and house price indices for the UK, its component countries and regions. The index is calculated using mortgage financed transactions that are collected via the Regulated Mortgage Survey by the Council of Mortgage Lenders.
