Velux Company Limited has issued a product warning on a specific type of small pane Velux window, produced and sold between 1997 and 2003.
The Velux window sizes that are potentially vulnerable are width 39cm (15.5″) and 61cm (24″).
The company has warned that there is a minor risk of ‘spontaneous glass breakage’ under certain conditions, that may result in the inner glass panel breaking and the possibility that small glass fragments could fall.
Vulnerable Velux windows will be replaced by Velux.
