Newport
Newport, or Casnewydd to give it its Welsh name, is a city that lies on the banks of the River Usk in the ceremonial county of Gwent. The Transporter Bridge is one of the few remaining working bridges of its type in the world. It is the largest Transporter Bridge still in existence and is a Grade I Listed structure. The Art Deco Civic Centre was opened to the public in 1940, although the Clock Tower wasn’t completed until 1964. It is a Grade II* Listed building.
